Accomodation

Railway Training Institute (RTI) provides safe and comfortable accommodation for students at both the Nairobi Main Campus and the Kisumu Campus. Our hostels offer a secure, supportive, and student-friendly living environment that enhances both academic focus and social experience.
Hostel Charges
- Kshs 30,000 per term – Accommodation with meals (full board)
- Kshs 12,000 per term – Accommodation only (without meals)
We also offer meals to both day scholars and boarders on a flexible pay-as-you-eat basis through our modern dining facilities.
Availability
Hostel spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis due to high demand each term. Students are encouraged to book their spaces early. Priority is often given to first-year students, long-distance learners, and students with special needs.
Security and Safety
Student safety and well-being are top priorities at RTI. Our accommodation facilities include:
- 24-hour security personnel within the hostel zones
- Controlled and monitored entry/exit points
- Night security patrols for enhanced safety
- Well-lit pathways and CCTV surveillance in strategic areas
- Quick-response emergency support from campus security
Each hostel block has a resident warden responsible for student welfare, discipline, and support throughout the academic year.
