Railway Training Institute (RTI) is a department of Kenya Railways Corporation.  The Institute is one of the oldest and most prestigious training institutions in the East African region. The Institute is recognized as a Centre of Excellence in rail sector skills training. It offers commercial and technical courses in compliance with the TVET Act, 2013.

The Institute invites qualified and competent Lecturers to teach Higher Diploma, Diploma, Certificate, and Railway Professional Course on part-time basis in the following fields:

  1. Electrical Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Marine Engineering
  4. Finance & Accounting
  5. Human Resource Management
  6. Business Management
  7. Tourism & Hospitality
  8. Supply Chain Management
  9. Transport & Logistics
  10. Railway Engineering
  11. Railway Operations
  12. ICT & Library Science

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field from a recognized university;
  • Degree in Education or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or Diploma in Technical Education / Instructors’ Training Course,
  • Registration and/or membership with a relevant professional body
  • TVET accreditation
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ teaching or relevant industry experience at a comparable level.
